Pool Table Moving

40+ years of experience · 175 mi radius from Collierville

A slate pool table isn't furniture you can carry out on a dolly. Most of its weight is in the slate, and it has to come apart to move safely: rails off, cloth released, slate unscrewed and lifted out piece by piece. Moved in one piece, a table risks a cracked slate, a twisted frame, and a playing surface that never sits level again.

Brooks Billiards moves pool tables whether or not we sold them. The same crew that installs our new tables does the work. We take the table apart, protect and haul the slate and frame, reassemble it in the new room, re-seat the rails, and level it before we leave.

Moves are quoted, not priced off a chart. The number depends on the table's size, how far it's going, and the access at both ends: stairs, tight turns, basements. Call with the make and size of the table, where it is now, and where it's going, and we'll give you a straightforward quote.

A move is also a good time to put on new cloth, since the cloth usually has to come off the slate anyway. Ask about recovering when you call, and we can do both in one visit.

Frequently Asked

Do you move pool tables you did not sell?
Yes. We move pool tables regardless of where they were purchased, including tables bought secondhand. Call us with the table size, current location, and destination and we will give you a quote.
How much does it cost to move a pool table?
Moves are quote-based. Pricing depends on the table size, the distance, and access at both ends, such as stairs or tight turns. Call (901) 290-6271 with those details and we will give you a straightforward number.
Can you move a table up or down stairs?
Yes. We handle second-floor and basement moves regularly. Tell us about the stairs, turns, and ceiling height when you call so we can plan for it. Unusually difficult access may add to the quote.
Will my table be level after the move?
Yes. Leveling is part of every move. We take multiple level readings across the playing surface and adjust for uneven floors before we leave.
Should I replace the cloth when I move my table?
It's often the best time to do it, because the cloth usually has to come off the slate during the move. We install Simonis and Championship cloth in 26-plus colors. Ask when you call and we'll quote both together.

They had several felt options and colors it made all the difference in picking out the perfect color. They knew we were trying to get our table covered before a holiday and called us when they got our felt in sooner than expected so we got it done when we needed.”
